Technical Agricultural Specialist

Experience (years) : 1-5  years

Qualification (must have / desired) : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field (B.Sc. Agriculture is preferred).

• Ability to conduct field trials, collect and analyze agricultural data, and present research findings effectively.

Key responsibility areas(KRAs) :

1. Provide technical expertise in precision agriculture, crop management, farm automation, and data-driven decision-making.
2. Conduct research on modern agricultural practices and emerging technologies to optimize farming productivity.
3. Collaborate with farmers, agronomists, research institutions, and industry partners to implement innovative agricultural strategies.
4. Develop and integrate digital farming tools, AI-based decision support systems, and software solutions for farm management.
5. Provide guidance on the selection, usage, and maintenance of advanced agricultural equipment and machinery.
6. Conduct field trials, analyse agronomic data, and generate insights for improved crop yield and soil health management.
7. Stay updated on government policies, agricultural subsidies, and compliance requirements for agribusiness operations.
8. Organize training programs, workshops, and seminars to educate farmers and stakeholders about new agricultural advancements.
9. Provide technical support for large-scale farming projects, ensuring timely execution and cost-effective solutions.
10. Assist in the development of sustainable and climate-resilient farming techniques, integrating eco-friendly practices.

Responsibilities :

1. Conduct in-depth research on cutting-edge agricultural technologies and their practical applications.
2. Support the implementation of precision farming techniques, including GPS mapping, variable rate technology, and automated irrigation systems.
3. Work with Agri-tech companies to develop and test software solutions for farm management and productivity enhancement.
4. Provide advisory services on soil health, nutrient management, pest and disease control, and resource optimization.
5. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental sustainability guidelines.
6. Evaluate and recommend data-driven solutions for improving efficiency and profitability in farming operations.
7. Assist in pilot projects to test new agronomic practices and share results with stakeholders for large-scale implementation.
8. Contribute to policy discussions and provide technical insights to regulatory bodies for the advancement of the agricultural sector.
9. Travel to project sites across India to conduct assessments, provide training, and implement agricultural solutions.
10. Ensure timely execution of assigned projects, maintaining quality standards within budget constraints.
